Introduction

The Dulangan Manobo people group of the Philippines have a population of over 30,000 people, mostly living in the Soccsksargen region: Sultan Kudarat province, Kalamansig, Ninoy Aquino, and Palimbang municipalities; South Cotabato province, T’Boli municipality.

The people call their language Menubù. The language is classified as Austronesian, Malayo-Polynesian, Greater Central Philippine, Manobo, South. The ISO code is [mta]. There are two dialects: Tasaday and Blit.

The Dulangan Manobo highly value their language, but also use Cebuano [ceb], Filipino [fil], Hiligaynon [hil]. The Teduray [tiy] use Dulangan Manobo. There is literature and radio programs produced in Dulangan Manobo.
