Typically Nong graves are in the ground, not in caves or crypts, with some kind of stone gravestone on top, and are located on hillsides outside near the village. Sometimes the graves are fairly far from the village; often in a higher location on a hill and sometimes in the midst of the family's fields. "Fengshui" considerations are taken into account in chosing an auspicious location and generally graves should not be moved. No metal should come near these graves.
